Installing the Sabre System
The Sabre unit is easy to install either during the manufacturing process, or as part of a renovation or van-build.
The main unit is mounted in a cabinet or under-seat storage, and is connected via cables to:
- 16 devices (lights, fans, sliders etc) powered directly up to 10 amps per device with 30 amps total maximum
- 6 remote switches, to sense their current state
- 4 water and waste tank sensors
- 3 current shunts to monitor system load, solar and DC to DC charging.
- A WiFi router via ethernet cable
The main unit communicates with the ceiling unit via WiFi, so no data cabling is needed. The ceiling unit connects to:
- 12-24 volt power feed
- Any additional alarm devices like smoke alarms or carbon monoxide alarms
The system connects to infra-red controlled devices (air-conditioners, televisions, entertainment systems) via IR transmitters in the ceiling node.
